Diablo 3 Movement and Control

Quick guide to Diablo 3 key commands and movement and control.

If you are new to Diablo and this is your first adventure into Sanctuary or you “stem from that abomination that is World of Warcraft: Reloaded”, you might find Diablo 3 movement and control a bit puzzling and awkward.

In general, in Diablo 3 click with your left mouse button where you want your character to go. Alternatively, click and hold and your toon will follow your curser. You can also push and hold the move key and your character will follow your cursor. Check your keybindings for details.

Click with your left mouse button on whatever it is you want to attack, bash, curse or blast. If you don’t want your character to move by accident or miss-click while attacking with your left mouse button, press and hold the stop command key to prevent your character from moving or running off. Again, check your keybindings for details.

As with any game, there is a lot you can do and customize with key bindings. However, currently Arrow Key movement control and keyboard-turning are not part of the Diablo 3 features.
